you need to be kind and sincere.

on good faith, I will answer your questions.

to start with, the shorter of the questions. I'm not gay, so I dont date guys, nor do I ever plan to date guys. I did, however, just get out of a long relationship (2+ years) with a girl. it was quite serious, and I'm still dealing with it a little. but time heals all wounds, and I'm nearly ready to take off the band-aids.

what I want to do with my life.
I'm going into my senior year of college, studying electrical engineering. I'm also going to tack on a graduate degree, because I have the time, the desire/drive, and the intelligence to do it.
My main intent is to do research on clean, renewable energy sources to solve some of our nation's, and mankind's problems. Massive scale energy storage also seems like it would be a worthwhile area to explore.

no one said anything about your institution. she said you should be institutionalized. quite different. and besides, she's Canadian, and therefore can't be impressed that you go to Cal Poly, because she doesn't know what it is.

never mind. even if I explained it you either wouldn't get it or wouldn't accept it, so there really is no point.

Sigh

And I'm sorry to hear that. Time does heal wounds, but scars can be permanent. That is to say, don't forget what this experience has taught you and the people you had to deal with.
